Defendant, Christopher Edward Lary, entered a guilty plea to the criminal offense of Homicide by Vehicle in the First Degree, that occurred on January 23rd, 2013, on Georgia Highway 293, resulting in the death of Elizabeth Mary Lary, receiving a total sentence of Fifteen (15) years, to serve Four (4) years incarcerated, the remaining balance to serve on probation, with the probation conditions that Lary, pay a fine of $1,000.00 and additional surcharges, complete 40 hours of community service, complete both the DUI Risk Reduction and Residential Substance Abuse Treatment programs, consume NO alcohol and NO driving of a vehicle for any purpose.
The State of Georgia was represented by Assistant District Attorney, Mark Boyd; Defendant Lary, was represented by Attorney Jimmy Berry.
