Today the Woodland softball team will host Loganville in the first round of the GHSA Class 5-A State Fast Pitch Softball Playoffs for a doubleheader, with the first game beginning at 5:00 PM. If a third game is needed in the series, it will be played on Thursday, also at Woodland.
The Lady Cats finished the regular season with a 14-15 record and is the second seed from region 7. Loganville is the third seed from Region 8 and finished the regular season with a 21-8 record.
Tomorrow the Cartersville volleyball team will host Chestatee in the first round of the GHSA Class 4-A state Volleyball Playoffs. Cartersville won the Region 5 crown for a second straight season to be a one seed in the playoffs after finishing the regular season with a 26-3 mark. Chestateee is the fourth seed from Region 7 and finished the regular season with a record of 13-26.
