The Adairsville boys basketball team fell to Calhoun 80-48 Thursday night to drop to 9-6 on the season and 3-3 in region play. The Tigers gave up 35 points in the second quarter, which was more than enough for Calhoun to pull away. Denzel Pitt and Ronald Hardin scored nine points each, which led Adairsville.

 

The Adairsville Tigers girls basketball team fell to Calhoun, the No. 3 team in Class AAA, on Thursday night by a score of 72-62. The Lady Tigers are now 6-8 on the season and dropped to 2-4 in region play. A good start quickly turned sour for the Lady Tigers, who burst out to an 11-2 lead just minutes into the game and were still up 15-10 after the first. Calhoun rallied to take a 32-24 lead into the half and never relinquish the lead.

 

As reported earlier, all sporting events that were scheduled for this weekend for both Bartow County and Cartersville City teams have been canceled, due to the possibility of snow Friday night.
