The Woodland boys basketball team dropped its 10th game of the season and  6th in region play Thursday night with a 97-70 loss to East Paulding Thursday night. Woodland jumped out to a 17-6 lead after the first quarter, but was outscored 66-31 during quarters two and three. Justice Hayes filled up the box score with 14 points, five rebounds, four steals and three blocks for Woodland, which was outscored 66-31 over the middle two quarters. Woodland is now 1-10 on the season and 0-6 in region play.

The Woodland girls basketball team lost to East Paulding by a score of 57-52 Thursday night to fall to 0-11 on the season and 0-6 in region play. Lexie Robinson put up a monster double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds and added five steals, but fouled out late. Four Woodland players fouled out in the contest, while Woodland head basketball coach Kyle Morgan earned a technical foul. He received the technical foul with 12 seconds left, taking out some of his frustration after it was clear there would be no comeback.
