Cartersville, GA, January 26, 2017 – The Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Development today announced that Hühoco Group, a global player in refining metal products, will create 200 jobs and invest $24 million in a new facility in Bartow County.
“I’m extremely pleased to welcome Hühoco Group’s First American Resources subsidiary to our community and the Cartersville family of industries. This wonderful company already knows that Georgia is a great place to do business, and we are proud that they have decided to make Cartersville their home. Their investment in our community is appreciated.” -Cartersville Mayor Matt Santini

Hühoco currently operates a facility in Mableton, Georgia under the name “First American Resources,” where it employs around 100 people. First American Resources is known in the industry for decorative and functional coating systems. The company’s two primary markets include domestic residential building products and automotive. The company will add 100 new jobs to the new facility over the next three years.

“Our commitment to Georgia is not only emphasized by our decision to keep jobs in the state. It is actually a decision to renew our commitment because we will add even more jobs and invest in an entirely new facility. We are excited to have found such an attractive location with a wonderful team of economic development professionals that will help us navigate the challenges or our ambitious project ahead.” – Hühoco CEO Christoph Koslowski

Hühoco Group worked with site selection firm Pegasus Partners out of Atlanta.
“This greenfield project with Hühoco Group’s First American Resources is one perfect example of what all of site selection should be about: Workforce first! Incentives last! Because the priorities were right and we took the time to carefully eliminate all other options, we know for certain this factory will be a full on success.” – Pegasus Partners’ Benedikt Ibing
The Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Development worked in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) Director of International Investment Nico Wijnberg and Senior Project Manager Walt Farrell with Georgia Power.
“Georgia is a leader in the global marketplace, and when companies like First American Resources choose to continue to do business in our state, it further solidifies our status as such,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson. “The continued influx of German investment into our manufacturing sector proves that our efforts to maintain international relationships, and offer top-notch resources, yield positive results for Georgia. I look forward to the future success this company will see in Bartow County.”
