Cartersville, GA:  Bartow County Health Department nurse Allison Wright-Mitchell, RN, recently received the prestigious Nursing Excellence Award at the University of West Georgia’s Academic Honors Convocation.  Sponsored by the Tanner Health System School of Nursing, the award is given annually to a senior nursing student, with an overall GPA greater than 3.2, who exhibits personal, professional, social, and academic strengths; leadership abilities in the community, church, and on campus; outstanding clinical competence; and excellent teamwork and collaboration with others. “We are extremely proud of Allison and her achievements,” says Bartow County Health Department Nurse Manager Cathy Green.  “Allison is a hard-working, able, and dedicated member of our professional public health nursing staff.”
