Just before 8:00 Saturday evening, local law enforcement agencies responded to Porter and Erwin Street in response to a minivan that had been flipped over. WBHF spoke to Lieutenant Mike Bettikofer with the Cartersville Police Department about the incident. Bettikofer said that there was an accident with injuries. Brad Cothran, public information officer with Bartow County EMS, stated a 30-year-old female was life-flighted to Grady Hospital after being thrown from the vehicle and suffering an open leg fracture and abdominal trauma. The landing zone was at the baseball field on Sugary Valley Road in Atco Village. Currently, Erwin Street is closed. Stay tuned to WBHF for more updates on this developing story.
