The man driving a vehicle involved in a fatal accident in Emerson last month was booked into the Bartow County Jail early Wednesday morning.
According to an investigation, 30-year-old Brandon Cochran of Talking Rock was the driver of a Honda Civic that was going south on Joe Frank Harris Parkway and turned in front of a Dodge Ram at Stars Way at LakePoint Sporting Community on February 17th, killing his passenger Ricky Brand. The driver of the Ram was not injured.
Cochran has been charged with homicide by vehicle in the first degree, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of methamphetamine, possession of more than one ounce of marijuana, possession and use of drug related objects, and failure to yield while turning left.
