Cartersville Family Medical Associates on Joe Frank Harris Parkway was evacuated on Tuesday afternoon due to a reported gas leak. Bartow County Fire, Cartersville Fire, and Cartersville Gas responded to the scene. They quickly discovered that the building is not connected to gas whatsoever. The building was cleared as a precaution.
The complainant had smelled gas. It is believed that a patron probably had come into the building with a small amount of gasoline on their body.
