FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 02/01/2018

On February 1, 2018 at approximately 0218 hours an officer with the Adairsville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Saturn for a traffic violation.  Upon talking with the occupants the officer smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle.  While talking with the passenger, later identified as Shianne Miller, age 21, of Fairmount, Georgia the officer noticed a large bulge in her pants in the area of her left thigh.  Miller was instructed to pull the item out and hand it to the officer.  Miller pulled out a small draw string bag and handed it to the officer.  Upon opening the bag, the officer located a clear plastic bag containing 50 ecstasy pills and approximately 10.7 grams of marijuana.  Miller was transported to the Bartow County Jail where a female jailer searched Miller again and located a clear plastic bag containing approximately 1 gram of cocaine in her bra.  Miller was subsequently charged with V.G.C.S.A. Possession of Ecstasy, V.G.C.S.A. Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce and V.G.C.S.A. Possession of Cocaine.
