The Cass Colonels (0-5, 0-3) fell to the Kell Longhorns (2-3) on Friday night by a score of 28-10.

The Longhorns would score on their first three possessions of the game.

On the first drive, Josiah Futral would score on a 16-yard touchdown run with 8:39 left in the first quarter. Cass would do its best to answer on the next drive but would settle for a field goal and cut into the Kell lead 7-3.

Kell would then go on a 21-0 scoring run that would continue into the second half. It would start with back-to-back Blake Simpson touchdown runs of 28 yards and 20 yards in the second quarter to give the Longhorns a 21-3 lead at the half.

In the third quarter, Futral would find the end zone again with a 31-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to give Kell a 28-3 lead.

Cass would get on the board with a 9-yard touchdown pass from Rett Moore to Cameron Gonyea to cut into the Kell lead 28-10, but it would be too little, too late.

The Colonels have a bye week next week and will look to host East Paulding on October 6th at 7:30.
