WBHF has confirmed that Cartersville Head Football Coach, Frank Barden, has stepped down after 18 seasons and will become the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Stephens County. Barden had a team meeting Wednesday afternoon with players to give them the news  after formally accepting the job at Stephens County earlier in the day. Barden was one of the longest tenured coaches in the state. During his eighteen seasons the Hurricanes were 154-58 for a winning percentage of 72.6. He led the program a state championship in 1999 along with seven region titles.
