The crash occurred at approximately 7:40 a.m. A school bus loaded, but there were no injuries. The school bus had activated amber lights on to signal for a nearby stop to pick up a student. A Honda Civic driven by a 17 year old Kyland Campbell-Fowler of Cartersville was approaching the bus from the opposite direction at a high rate of speed, traveled off the right shoulder, lost control and struck the front of school bus with its driver’s side door. Fowler was extricated from his vehicle by fire workers and airlifted to Grady Memorial.
