Friday morning around 9 a.m. Bartow County Emergency Medical Services, the Cartersville Fire Department and Cartersville Police responded a three vehicle accident. The accident occurred on West Avenue near Lee St. Upon BCEMS arrival, the crew requested a second ambulance. BCEMS had two patients with complaints of injuries. The first patient, a male was conscious but not alert. The crew quickly assessed the patient and found he was diabetic and was having a diabetic issue. The patient was treated for the medical problem. The second patient, a female was complaining of neck and back pain. Both patients were transported to Cartersville Medical Center.
