First responders were called to a two-vehicle accident on I-75 northbound just south of exit 290 on Thursday afternoon. One of those vehicles rolled over numerous times.

Bartow County EMS treated three patients. A male had a headache, an altered mental status, and back pain. Upon further examination, that patient became less alert with decreasing vital signs. Georgia AirLife 3 flew this patient to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The second patient was a female who was complaining of back pain and transported to Cartersville Medical Center. Another male was checked out by EMS but refused transport.

The northbound lanes of I-75 at this location were shutdown to allow for the emergency air medical transport to land. This affected traffic for over an hour and a half.
