Willie J. Heath entered a guilty plea in Bartow Superior Court Tuesday.  Forty nine year old, Willie Heath was charged with causing a fatal car crash in 2015.  The collision occurred November 26th, just outside the Kingston city limits on State Route 293.  Heath pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, and failure to maintain lane.  He received a 15-year sentence, 7 years to serve incarcerated and the remainder to serve on probation.  He must also pay a $2,500 fine.

Heath crossed over the double yellow line while negotiating a curve.  His 2006 Chrysler 300 struck a 1996 Dodge Ram head-on.  Heath was injured and transported to Floyd Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the Dodge truck, 21-year-old Jessie Tyler Law of Cartersville was killed in the crash.  His passenger, 20-year-old Kendra Alayne Mealer of Adairsville, was injured and taken to Floyd Medical Center.
