Eighteen Cartersville students became GateKey Scholars Friday morning. The annual signing ceremony was held in the Cartersville High School Auditorium. There are currently 90 GateKey Scholars; thirteen are enrolled in college and 17 will graduate from Cartersville High School in May. In exchange for good grades, behavior and attendance, the students will receive two years of free college from either
Chattahoochee Technical College or Georgia Highlands College. The money may also be used for other institutions of higher learning.
