Opening Reception rescheduled to Saturday, September 23

Cartersville, Georgia – The Downtown Gallery is excited to announce the opening of their Fall/Holiday Exhibit, at 13 North Wall Street in historic downtown Cartersville. Originally scheduled a week earlier but delayed due to Hurricane Irma, the official exhibition opening reception has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 23, 2017. The public is invited to enjoy refreshments, meet the artists in attendance, and be among the first to purchase the artwork.

Inventory in the Downtown Gallery exhibits rotate every three to four months revolving around the artist’s choice. The Fall/Holiday Exhibit will be on view and available through January 13, 2018. The show features 120 pieces of original art and photography, 70 works of art from 46 members of the Booth Artists’ Guild and 50 photographs from 38 members of the Booth Photography Guild. All art in the Downtown Gallery is available for purchase on a first come, first serve basis.

The opening reception will offer an exclusive look into the juried artwork. Many of the regional artists plan to be in attendance to share their experience creating the pieces exhibited in the Downtown Gallery. The reception will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm inside the Downtown Gallery and will include wine, water, cheese and crackers, summer sausage, and assorted fresh baked cookies for guests.

The Downtown Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and sells original art by regional artists as well as prints, posters, books, and sculpture by artists in the Booth Museum collection.  Downtown Gallery is an effort by Booth Western Art Museum to help highlight the talents of local and regional artists and move Cartersville towards becoming a more art focused community.
